Pre - Operative Assessment

Is there a clinical concern for your health prior to surgery?

The aim of pre operative assessment is to ensure that patients are fit for surgery and that you, the patient, understands the proposed procedure.

To identify any problems or potential problems pre operatively prior to hospital admission, an appointment with our 3fivetwo Consultant Anesthetist can include the following:

• Consultation and patient history
• Physical examination
• 12 lead ECG
• Full Blood Count
• Urea & electrolyte blood test

Further tests can be arranged as required:

• Liver function blood test
• Echocardiogram
• Exercise stress test
• Chest x-ray
